The neighborhood breakfast spot. Get the Gold Standard breakfast sando, with beyond meat (even if you like meat, this has a nice kick to it!) Beat the rush and show up early to avoid the long wait :)
We love this place so much we are actually thinking of naming our first born after it. Self described as “Asian & Pan-Latin”, whatever that means, we’re (registered trademark of MacDonald’s) lovin’ it! Order the arctic char ceviche, trust us.
Odd Seoul is a restaurant after our own heart: dimly lit, old school hip hop blaring and inventive Korean tapas. The squash poutine is one of the best dishes created in the history of time, and even before time existed.
Not your mama’s gelato place. Creative flavours that push the boundaries of what can even be considered gelato. They even have an award winning “Cheeseboard” flavor, what a time to be alive!
If there is one thing Torontonians like, its a patio. Put anything on a patio and we are into it. El Rey combines patio with tequilla and ceviche – all things that are good. The hottest ticket in the city in the summertime.
Our cute little neighbour with the most delectable coffee beverages and baked goods (Jamaican patties! Our fave). This should be your first stop in the morning.
This wine bar has everything from that bottle you get when you want to impress your date but don’t want to take out a second mortgage to a basic bitch chardonnay. And not your typical “stuffy” wine bar – cozy, laid back vibe, and lest we forget they have delicious food too.
So you want to be a local? This is the neighborhood watering hole, come here for a beer, cocktail or coffee on the patio and post up for some primo people watching.
The kind of place where the bartender hand carves your ice cube out of a much larger ice cube made from triple distilled glacier water. A dimly lit, classy joint to enjoy a few craft wobbly pops. Oh and the patio is tres cute.
Don’t let the bodega at the front fool you – this is a bar – not a convenience store. A faux speakeasy and our fave R&B dance party in the city.
Go here even if you don’t need a new outfit. Impeccably curated collection of designer and vintage pieces for your shopping pleasure.
A lifestyle shop full of beautiful, unusual, exciting things. The perfect place to find a gift for someone if that someone is cool, if they are not cool, this gift will make them cool.
We love so many things about this place, one of them being that it feels like an office from the 1990s. I’m gonna need you to go ahead and visit this shop, especially if you are into art-house publications and hype beast streetwear.
A civilized way to take in a film. Beautifully named, impeccably designed bathrooms and a snack selection that is second to none.
Bellwoods, a blanket and your boo, and you’ve got yourself a pretty nice little afternoon lined up. The best park in the city for watching people fall off of slacklines, participating in a drumming circle, or just rubbing fruit linaments and noxema over your loved one’s body.
What to do: a shrimp taco from Seven Lives, a Churro from Pancho’s, a custard tart from Carousel, a crepe from Millie, if at this point you are a) still hungry and b) don’t have diabetes, head to Dumpling House on Spadina for some yumma dumps. Gotta be a better way of saying that.
Some people say it is not a real beach; and of course, it is not. But the sand is still white and the umbrellas are still pink, a nice little corner to while away an afternoon and get your tan on.
Clothing optional beach? Check. A lot of older gay couples? Check. A good place to get free in the wild and go for a comfy swim.
